MST Weekly Update

Good afternoon to all of our MST family members.

As a very short February comes to an end (12 days of school), we begin our February vacation. When we return in March, students will need to be very focused on getting work done in order to meet all competencies for their classes.

Guidance will be meeting with students in March to finalize their course selections making sure that they have everything they need to stay on track for graduation. Administration will then begin building schedules for the 2025-26 school year so that students will have a tentative schedule when they leave for summer vacation in June.

All of us MST want to wish all of our students a very happy February vacation!

Our Criminal Justice program had the Dept. of Corrections join our class this week. Corrections Officers Partridge, Davis and Twohig (who is a former MST student), arrived and shared a great presentation on all the Career Opportunities available to students in Law Enforcement.

This week, students form the cosmetology program were invited to spend some time in the auto shop to learn some tips about basic car care. At the same time, automotive students visited the cosmetology program and learned all about hair care.

MST's Class of 2025 graduation has been set for 8:00 AM on Saturday June 14th. It will take place at the SNHU arena a where it has been for the past several years. Admission tickets are not required so there is no limit on the number of guests that you can invite.

A reminder to parents of anticipated graduates that a student must meet all graduation requirements prior to June 14th, or they will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony. If that were to happen, they will receive a diploma upon completion of the required classes during summer recovery. Letters will be sent out in early April to the parents/guardians of any anticipated graduate who is falling behind in meeting graduation requirements.

I know that it's only February, but it's never too early to be planning for the next school year. Recently the Board of School Committee approved the calendar for the 2025-26 school year. You can see it below.
