Principal's Message
October is the second of two months dedicated to Mary. During this month we are encouraged to take time to pray to Mary daily. We particularly ask Mary to intercede and bring peace to the people of the Middle East and Ukraine as well as solace to the families in Afghanistan who are suffering as a result of the earthquakes over the past weekend.
Hail Mary, holy queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope! To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears! Turn, then, O most gracious Advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us, and after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet virgin Mary.
Pray for us O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Welcome back to school for the fourth term of this year. I trust that your family managed to have a wonderful, relaxing break. The students all seemed eager to return and were full of smiles when I asked about their holidays.
It is hard to believe how quickly the year has gone and, being a short term, how quickly this term will pass. This term promises some exciting events for children and families so please keep an eye on the website’s live calendar, class seesaw messages, and the newsletters to ensure you have the information you need.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
Once again, I thank you for your patience during afternoon Kiss and Dive pick-up as we endeavour to have cars move quickly through the line. In particular, I again thank those drivers who have abided by the traffic code and not entered the roundabout until the waiting traffic on the other side has moved forward.
As most of our traffic congestion occurs during the afternoon pick-up and, following a meeting with the City of Wanneroo Traffic consultants, I remind parents to continue to exercise caution during this time.
In particular, Council have expressed concern about the potential for accidents to be caused by:
- Cars doing the right thing and exiting left from the church carpark but then executing a U-turn at the entry to Cafaggio Crescent; and
- Cars continuing to the end of Servite Terrace and completing a U-turn in the bushland at the end of the cul-de-sac.
The safest way to avoid congestion and potential accidents is for cars to turn into Cafaggio Crescent and follow it to the top to gain access to Dundebar Road. While this may take you a minute or two extra, please remember that road safety is everyone’s responsibility
God Bless

Preparing for a Strong Finish!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and that you and your children have enjoyed a rejuvenating break during the recent school holidays. As we kick off the final term of the year, we wanted to share some important insights on the significance of rest and how it can pave the way for a strong finish to the academic year.
Rest: The Key to Success
As we conclude the first week of Term 4, it's crucial to recognise the importance of rest and its profound impact on your child's ability to excel in their studies. While we encourage our students to put in their best efforts throughout the year, it's equally important to understand that a well-rested mind and body are the cornerstones of success.
Why Rest Matters
- Improved Concentration: Adequate rest enhances a student's ability to concentrate and absorb information more effectively. When well-rested, children can engage with their schoolwork with greater focus.
- Stress Reduction: Rest plays a vital role in managing stress. It allows students to approach challenges with a calmer mindset, helping them cope with academic pressures.
- Physical Health: A good night's sleep is essential for maintaining overall health. It boosts the immune system, enabling students to stay resilient and avoid illnesses.
- Emotional Well-being: Rest is closely tied to emotional well-being. When children are well-rested, they are better equipped to manage their emotions and navigate the ups and downs of school life.
A Strong Finish to the Year
As we begin the final term of the year, let's work together to ensure that our students are well-rested and ready to excel. The end of the academic year presents a multitude of opportunities for learning, growth, and achievement and we want every child at St Anthony's School to shine.
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child's education. Let's make this last term a memorable and successful one.

Here's to a restful and rewarding Term 4!

Home-School Communication
At St Anthony’s, we recognise the importance of working with parents, as partners, to help students flourish and do their personal best. Seesaw is a key tool that we use to share student work and useful information. This helps to support the connection between home and school and we know we can achieve the best outcomes when we work together. If you have ongoing issues accessing Seesaw, please contact Katharine.gelle@cewa.edu.au, so that you don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity to engage with your child’s learning and be up to date on important information.
Medical and Contact Information
For the health and wellbeing of our students, please ensure we are immediately informed of any changes in medical conditions and emergency contact details. Please promptly fill in a new medical form (link below) for any changes in health and give to the school office. Updated action plans for anaphylaxis, asthma and allergies are required to be completed by your family doctor each year. Please include a photo of your child on action plans.
In line with our school policy, all medications are to be brought into and collected from the school office. No students are to handle medications or keep medication in their school bags.
Many thanks
