Linden Elementary "Leader" Board
Communication Connection
THANK YOU!
Thank you to everyone who came out for conferences this month. It was great to see everyone back in the building. Our teachers and intervention staff were able to meet with 98% of our families. Please continue to keep the communication open with your child's teacher.
Be on the look out for your child's report card. They will be available on your ParentVue account beginning November 4, 2024.
We would also like to thank everyone who attended, supported and volunteered at the PALS Truck or Treat event. We have over 500 families attend. What a great turn out and event for our community!
Reminder there is NO school on Friday, November 1, 2024.
Halloween
We will be celebrating Halloween on Thursday, October 31. There will be a parade in the Parent Pick Up/Drop Off Loop in front of Linden Elementary. The parade begins at 2:00 pm. Parents can begin lining up at 1:50 pm. In the event of rain, the parade will be brought indoors in the Gym.
The students should bring their costumes to school in a bag or backpack with your child’s name on it. Please use good judgement when selecting a costume. Swords, wands, brooms, masks, weapons, make up, fake blood, or inappropriate masks should be avoided and kept home.
All classroom visitors will need an iChat on file one week prior to Halloween. There will be sign in sheets for visitors to sign in by classroom. All students are required to be signed out with their classroom teacher.
Check with your child's teacher for specific party times.
Message from Food Service
Food Service: Michigan lawmakers have approved the state's budget, which includes universal free meals at school. That means that all students in our district are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch through our Food Services department at no cost.
Although meals are free this year, we still need a Summer EBT and Education Benefits Application completed. This information is critical in determining the amount of money that our school receives from a variety of State and Federal supplemental programs like Title I A, At-risk (31a), Title II A, E-Rate, etc. Specifically, this supports our Intervention Programs at Linden Elementary.
