Chamber Concert April 24th at 7:00 PM
The Chamber Concert is a night for students in the music department to perform chamber works - solos, duets, quintets, etc. This small group setting allows musicians to showcase their skills in a more intimate way compared to their normal ensemble. Students will increase self-confidence and gain independence from their conductor through this experience.
The concert will begin at 7:00 in the Como Auditorium. Tickets may be purchased at the door: $5 for students, $7 for adults, or pay what you can (cash/check). Proceeds help us raise funds to support our growing music program!
We need volunteers to make this event successful! Please sign up to volunteer!

Great Things Happening at Como
Como Robotics has had its best season ever! We finished our second tournament qualification rounds (two days of competition) ranked 13th out of over 60 teams with and 7 and 2 winning record. The team then went on to the semifinals, winning two more matches until we were eliminated in the final four. The only team to beat us went on to win and go to the world championships in Texas. The scrappy determined Como students worked hard and fast to replace the main computer which burned out during our first round of the semifinals to come back and win two more rounds. This taste of success and getting so close gave the students more determination to work harder and win it all next year. There are plans to study computer coding, and CAD design over the summer, build more practice robots and raise more money. This team is on fire its second year back as a team after it had been completely shut down before COVID and it looked like Como would not have a team at all. If you see a student or staff wearing their Como Robotics Jacket or T-shirt congratulate them on an amazing season.
The Region Four, Como Park MCJROTC Cougars Unarmed Inspection Team placed first amongst all the upper Northwest United States and overseas MCJROTC's. A historical moment first for Como Park's MCJROTC and proud moment for Senior Cadet Second Lieutenant Daychia's entire Unarmed Inspection Team. Congratulations

The Como Park MCJROTC Cadets up at Murray Middle School recruiting the future today. All led by Junior Cadet Leadership. They made a positive impact on the future Delta Dawg wanna-be cadets currently in eighth grade. Ooh Rah!
Denzel Schuna, Como Park Senior High School Senior was named this year’s Stacy Robinson Leadership Award winners by the Minnesota Chapter of the National Football Foundation.
Schuna was honored on April 14 during a private ceremony at the Minnesota Vikings’ TCO Performance Center. The event was taped and broadcast during the Minnesota Football Honors television show, which is slated to air in August on Bally's.
This award is to honor Denzel for the impact he has made as leaders on the playing field, in the classroom and community. His leadership skills and positive energy influenced everyone he came in contact with during games, outreach events and classroom activities. Denzel represents everything this award is all about and it was great to see him get the spotlight during this year’s Minnesota Football Honors ceremony.

On Wednesday, Apr. 3, 2024. Como High School students served as judges for the Chelsea Heights Elementary Science Fair. Como students, many of whom are Chelsea Heights alumni, enjoyed judging projects for students in grades 3-5. Adayla Morant and Caroline Napierala shared, "It was fun seeing the kids having as much fun as we did when we were students at Chelsea Heights." Amelia Larsen commented, "It was a great experience getting to see the students being so excited about science." Cross-school activities like this one are one way Como strives to create community.
