We Love Our Counselors!!
Congratulations to our Phoenix Counseling team for receiving the prestigious CREST Leadership Award from the Texas School Counselor Association (TSCA). This honor recognizes schools that demonstrate outstanding commitment and leadership in delivering effective counseling programs, emphasizing their crucial role in supporting students’ academic, personal/social, and career development.
We are also proud to share that our very own Ms. Rose Mary Hernandez, Professional School Counselor, will be presenting with a team of NISD counselors at this year’s TSCA Conference in Galveston, Texas. Her session, "Guiding Student Success in a Digital World," will provide valuable insights on helping students foster a safe and positive online environment.

Holocaust Remebrance
This past week, the campus observed Holocaust Remembrance Week, which honors the memory of the six million Jews and millions of others who were victims of the Holocaust, serving as a reminder to reflect the dangers of hatred. This year, Holocaust Remembrance Week was held on January 27-31, with Holocaust Remembrance Day falling on January 27th. Students participated in a Holocaust Museum set up in the library with exhibits and artifacts from the Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio, videos, crafts, and a VR tour of the annex where Anne Frank and her family hid. Select classes of Juniors also attended a presentation by guest speaker Genny Wind, a second generation Holocaust survivor and mother of two HCHS alumni.
