14th Street Ram Report #19
January 15, 2024
Reminders
A couple of things to remember:
Drop off begins at 8:40. Thank you for keeping your eye on the clock- we are busy getting ready for our day to begin, and having students in the lobby early pulls staff away from preparations.
Please have your child leave toys at home. We are seeing that the toys are becoming a distraction.
Quarter 2 is coming to a close. On Friday, we are half way through our school year!
PBIS Data
In November, some of you participated in a survey that tells us how we are doing with the culture at 14th Street. We wanted to share some of the data results with you and encourage participation in the spring when the survey is sent out again.
We had 38 families participate.
Here are some strengths:
- 78% strongly agreed that teachers at 14th St. work hard and have high standards for your student(s).
- 77% strongly agreed that your student feels safe at school.
- 76% strongly agreed that the school rules and procedures are fair.
- 87% strongly agreed that teachers classrooms are clean and organized.
Some areas for growth:
- 34% did not feel strongly that staff communicate well with parents.
- 37% did not feel strongly that positive behavior is recognized frequently for your child.
We have a PBIS team at school that looks at this data, shares it with the rest of the staff, and plans for how we can continue with strengths, while also looking at what we can do to continue to grow 14th Street for your child(ren). Thank you for your help in filling out the survey so we gain this valuable data!
