June/Summer 2024 Edition
Principal's Message
Dear Falmouth Falcon Families,
It is hard to believe that the 2023-2024 school year is ending! We are so proud of all the hard work our staff and students have put into this year! We have learned passionately, led confidently, and lived with character! As this year ends, we are already working on planning for summer and fall opportunities and events. Our goal is to continue to encourage the importance of literacy skills throughout the summer. Therefore, we encourage families to use our local libraries throughout Stafford County.
Be on the lookout for more information over the summer regarding the beginning of the year events, including the Falmouth Fling, Open House, and other upcoming celebrations. Please remember to update your address and phone number(s), as this is the means we will use to communicate with you as events are scheduled.
Have a wonderful and safe summer!
Sincerely,
Dr. Sallie Burch
Principal
Assistant Principal's Message
Happy Summer Falmouth Families,
I hope you are having an amazing summer vacation! As we enjoy the sunny days, we are also busy planning for the upcoming school year. We need your help to ensure a smooth start for everyone.
Transportation Request
Transportation is already looking ahead to next school year and we need your help! By letting us know now if you intend for your student to ride the bus next school year, we can start creating the most efficient routes to get our students to and from school on time. Please use this link to request transportation for your child. Parents and guardians must submit a separate form for each student enrolled with Stafford Schools. If circumstances change, parents and guardians may reach out to their student’s school to change their selection in Synergy at any time
School Bus Safety
Speaking of transportation, it's never too early to start reviewing the school bus rules. Spend some time looking at this informative video created by Stafford County Public School's Transportation Department. It’s a great way to ensure everyone is prepared and understands the importance of bus safety.
We look forward to seeing all of you in August! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Warm regards,
Mrs. G-W

Hello again FES families,
Summer vacation is here and although it is important to stay safe in the sun, it is also important to keep kids safe and help them make good choices online. Screen time gets a bad rap, but when it is used responsibly, with supervision and support, it can become a useful tool to keep children learning and being creative in the summer. Children should not be closed away in their room, roaming the internet and social media alone. Parents need to be a part of the time children spend online and set healthy, age-appropriate limits. Below are some articles that can help you support your child in using summer screen in a healthy way that encourages learning and creativity:
