The NEISD offices and campuses will be closed for the week of March 11th - 15th for the Spring Break holiday.

AMP DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS
CAMPUS SAFETY REMINDER
The following measures are in place to provide safety to the JMHS campus and AMP Complex:
- NEISD has a closed campus policy. Students cannot leave campus during school hours, including lunchtime, without authorization from a parent/guardian, school administration, and obtaining a pass from the attendance office.
- Parents/guardians needing to make deliveries to AMP students during school hours must bring the items (school supplies, clothing, payments, food, etc.) into the AMP Administration office for delivery to students. We will not be allowing students to go into the parking lot to pick up deliveries.

SPRING 2024 SEMESTER EXAM SCHEDULE
The Spring 2024 Semester Exam Schedules for seniors and underclassmen have been released and are available below.
2024-2025 ACADEMIC DUAL CREDIT (MADISON HS)
Below are the instructions for students that are taking Dual Credit classes on main campus for next school year. Please make sure that everything is turned in on time or you will not be able to take the Dual Credit class.
After doing the ApplyTexas application, and receiving their Banner ID from SAC, all Dual Credit students returning and new will need to complete this Dual Credit Checklist. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdviOse27xoXjFwstObeC_caAHXyJOkP9z1myzBbQ4QCvWXWw/viewform.
Just a reminder, Returning NEISD students should re-apply at ApplyTexas if they are applying for a course available in Spring 2025 only- The only courses that applies to are Art Appreciation DC and Psychology DC.

Bexar Ag/NR Committee College Scholarship
Deadline: March 15, 2024
The Bexar Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee is pleased to announce the initiation of a $1,000 scholarship for a graduating high school senior in Bexar County who plans to pursue an Agriculture-related degree at a Texas college or university during the 2023-2024 academic year. Applicants must be current graduating high school seniors with a 3.0 or higher GPA. For Scholarship details and application click above.
SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
San Antonio A&M Club Foundation Scholarship Program
Deadline: March 11, 2024
The San Antonio A&M Club would like to share that our scholarship application is now open and will stay open until March 11. This application is open to any Senior residing in Bexar County or attending a Bexar County High School and heading to Texas A&M University College Station or a College Station branch in the Fall of 2024. Last year we awarded 8-four year scholarships ($12,000 each) and 3-one year scholarships ($2,000 each).
2024 Horatio Alger Scholarship
Deadline: March 15, 2024 at 12:00 PM (Noon)
As one of the nation's largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country, the Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are directed primarily to recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need.
To be eligible to apply for any of the Horatio Alger Undergraduate Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled full time as a high school student in the United States; be progressing normally toward graduation with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation
- Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
- Demonstrate critical financial need ($65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
- Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
- Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
- Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0; and
- Be a United States citizen
Norman Vestal Memorial Rotary Club Scholarship
Deadline: March 29, 2024
The Rotary Club of San Antonio will grant five $500 scholarships to area graduating high school seniors from Bexar County who plan to pursue a career in Agrilife (to include Agribusiness).
Eligibility Requirements:
- Enrolled in a high school in Bexar County and classified as a Senior during the 2023-2024 school year.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Cannot be the child or grandchild of a Rotarian.
- Must plan on attending college during the 2024-2025 academic year at an accredited college or university.
- Must be pursuing a degree in Agri-Life (to include Agri-Business)

David Molak Kindness Scholarship
Deadline: April 14, 2024
This $1,000 scholarship has been established by David’s Legacy Foundation to honor the love and kindness that David Molak showed his friends and family.
CRITERIA FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP: This scholarship recognizes exceptional graduating high school seniors in all Bexar County Independent School Districts and Bexar County Charter Schools, who exhibit characteristics of kindness in all aspects of their life. Our hope is that with assistance from this scholarship for their freshman year in college, recipients will continue to spread kindness into their adult life.

Purpose
The purpose of this scholarship fund is to reward North East ISD students for their success in Career and Technical Education programs and to encourage students to further their education.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Surita Wyatt Scholarship, one must be a North East Independent School District high school senior who has completed or is participating in one or more Career and Technical Education courses. There are two types of scholarship awards available. Four scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded to four seniors to further their education upon graduation from high school. In addition, one student will be awarded a $1000 scholarship and named the overall senior CTE student for NEISD.

SPRING FFA LETTER JACKET FITTING & ORDERING
The Spring 2024 fitting and ordering for a FFA Letter Jacket will be held on Thursday, March 28th from 4:00PM to 5:00PM in the AMP Commons.
To purchase a FFA Letter Jacket, students must qualify and complete the FFA Letter Jacket application (https://agrisciencemagnetprogram.weebly.com/ffa-letter-jacket.html) and return the completed application to the AMP Administration office by Monday, March 25th before receiving a letter jacket ordering packet.
Letter jacket representatives will be fitting qualified students for jackets and taking orders on Thursday, March 28th. Payment in full must be made at the time of fitting and ordering.
JAMES MADISON FFA BOOSTER CLUB
The FFA Booster Club exists to organize and conduct fundraising activities to provide financial support to all students of the AMP in order to enhance the educational and agricultural experiences of the students. Parents/guardians can support the James Madison FFA Booster Club by making the AMP a family experience. This can be done through a variety of means such as volunteering of your time and talents, introducing the FFA Booster Club to corporate sponsors, or financially supporting the FFA Booster Club with donations or purchasing merchandise.
The next general meeting of the James Madison FFA Booster Club will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd at 6:30PM at the AMP Complex.
