Students that attend school 95% of the time are more likely to graduate from high school. We challenge every student to miss 5 or fewer school days in the first semester and to miss each class period 3 or fewer times in the first semester.

The EHS Collaborative Decision Making team decided to transition to one lunch this year. Ninth and Tenth graders remain on campus for lunch. Juniors and Seniors are allowed to leave for lunch. Space is available for students in the cafeteria, lobby, courtyard, 200 hallway, and breezeway. Some teachers also host students in their classroom during lunch for clubs and activities. The small gym will also be available during inclement or cold weather. Nutrition Services has done an excellent job of serving all students quickly to make sure students have at least 25 minutes to eat after they receive their lunch.

As the year progresses, "C Days" will include a flex period that will be used for assemblies, intervention, and enrichment. For now, however, we will follow either an "A Day" or "B Day" schedule on these days. On Friday, September 6, we will follow an "A Day" schedule.

If you opted for iPad Insurance ($25.00) during online registration, payment is due by September 9, 2024. You can pay online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, credit card by calling the bookkeeper at 307-771-2467, or stop by the school with cash, check, or credit card. Payments will NOT be accepted after September 9, 2024.

Junior Leadership of Laramie County is now accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year. High School Juniors please join us and learn about the Leadership opportunities available in Cheyenne, Laramie County, and the State of Wyoming. You will have the opportunity to meet with Government officials, such as the Governor, the Mayor, and Legislators, one month and the next month with banking officials or industry leaders or even educational leaders. There is one-one day class per month from October through May that will afford you the chance to meet and learn from today's leaders.

If you are interested, please pick up an application packet from the Main Office, your Counseling Office or from the Civics/Social Studies Department Chairperson. They have electronic versions that they will be happy to print for you. Application Deadline is September 30, 2024.

The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy resulting in employment, independent living, and equality for every learner. EHS will have an opportunity for families to learn more about Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), September 5th @ 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the lobby of East High School.
