This Week at BLE

Late Start Mondays: 10:35 am - 3:45 pm.

School starts at 10:35 am on Mondays. Please drop your students off no earlier than 10:20 am on Mondays. Bus routes run 90 minutes later on Mondays.

Tuesday through Friday Schedule: 9:00 am - 3:45 pm.

Classes begin at 9:00 am. Please drop your students off no earlier than 8:45 am.

- On Mondays we wear College or Local High School Spirit Wear

- On Fridays we wear Viking or Blue Spirit Gear

Friday, September 23rd

4:30-5:00 pm: Ice Cream Social with the Principal will be held in the Courtyard between the 100 and 200 pod.

5:00 pm: 1st PTA General Membership Meeting will be held in the Library. This is a great way to learn about the PTA and volunteer opportunities.

Fall Fundraiser: Packets will be distributed and sent home on 9/23. The fall catalog fundraiser will run 9/23-10/7. This helps the PTA raise funds for PTA sponsored events and classroom support. Most sales should take place online but if you do collect money please do NOT send it in prior to 10/7. Thank you!

We have received many questions from our families regarding this year's expectations.

Per Department of Health guidelines, if your student has one or more of the following symptoms that are not related to a diagnosed medical condition, they must stay home and test for covid.

Symptoms include:

• Fever (100.4°F) or chills
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Muscle or body aches
• New loss of taste or smell
• Cough (new, changed, or worsening)
• Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
• Fatigue
• Sore throat
• Congestion or runny nose

If your student tests negative for covid, they can return to school once symptoms have significantly improved and they are fever free for 24 hours. You do not need to send a copy of the test results to the health room.

If your student tests positive for Covid please give us a call and we will walk you through next steps.
