Board Report - December 2024

• The Transportation Department has been winterizing the buses and preparing them to continue to transport our kids safely.

• The grounds crews have been mowing the grass that is quickly going to seed as they prepare the lawns for winter.

• Exterior doors are remaining a top priority and these are being check in each building weekly or even daily. The maintenance department knows the importance of these door sweeps and are quick to respond when work orders are placed.

• All of our HVAC units are running and hopefully are ready to switch from AC to Heat. We have had a few units switched over and our team is doing a great job as they keep them running.

• BHS STAAR Testing is in full swing last week and this week. The Tech Department is always willing to lend a hand at this stressful time.

• The tech department continues to stay busy with tech tickets and resolving issues. The Team closed 106 tech tickets and separately repaired 42 Chromebooks.

• The Team prepared all the Chromebook carts for PreSAT, SAT, and ACT testing.

• They have worked with the Curriculum and Instructional Specialists to get teachers and students in grades 2-8 to successfully bookmark or connect Google Classes to the online platforms for curriculum (Savvas ELAR and HMH Science).
