Santa came early to the students in the Wasserman Center and Head Start programs! The event began with treats and goody bags donated by Nancy Shields of Chicago and Pat Curran of Cincinnati. A Christmas Boutique was set up for students to "shop" and wrap gifts for their families. All items were donated, so that the students shopped for free. A great time was had by all! One student commented that this was "Shop with a Teacher Day."
A very special thank you goes to the following for helping with this: Ripley Women's Club; Druann Kendrick; Harriett Groh; Allie Corns of Ripley's First State Bank; Eric Rabe and Georgetown IGA; Heather Garbutt and Lighthouse Thriftique in Georgetown. A special thank you goes to retired RULH teacher Mrs. Patty Dengler who organized this event. Merry Christmas to all!
