Kindergarten and 5th grade will have their graduation ceremony on Tuesday, May 21st starting with Kindergarten at 5:00 and 5th grade families at 6:00 in the MGCS gym. Please contact your child's classroom teacher for details and questions.

If you haven't registered your child(ren) please do ASAP. By registering, this ensures your spot here at MGCS!

The 1st graders put on a wonderful 54th Annual Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast last Thursday with their songs, poems, and beautiful decorations! A huge shout out to Ms. Etten for all her hard work getting the learners prepared for this and putting together all the details! Another shout out goes to all the others who made this program successful, Bryan and Lynnette Bloch for cooking and helping out in the kitchen, Tari Williams for preparing this in the kitchen, and Justin Bloch for all your help with set-up, and Theressa Matz for coming back and helping with the music! It was a wonderful event for all families!

Learners were able to show stewardship (one of the letters in CRISP) for Earth Day! Every fox den was asked to complete a specific task while working together outside!

Our Sock Hop was a hit!! Thank you to our student council members and our families for making this event successful, as usual!

The school store goodies are available on Thursdays during lunch.

We are excited to see all our talented learners perform at our Talent show on Wednesday! Thank you Ms. Barrick for bringing this tradition back to Maple Grove Charter School!

Our grade 2-5 spelling bee will be in the Maple Grove Charter School Gym on Monday, May 20th at 8:15am. Participant's family are allowed visit and encourage their child.

Here is your opportunity to get rid of some stuff (clothes, toys, books, etc) or to snag up a good deal! Nothing will be priced, all donation sales.

Thank you to all our PTO members and families who made us feel so special last week! We were showered with an amazing meal, breakfast, sweet treats, flowers and kind handwritten cards. We also received an upgrade to our lounge with a toaster oven and microwave on a stand! It was much need and so appreciated!

Our fifth graders wanted to leave a little bit of their legacy behind here at MGCS, so they decided to build 6 Aldo Leopold benches to be left here at MGCS for all future learners, staff, and community members to enjoy. Mr. Steinke, shop teacher from Athens Middle School/High School, came over with all his tools to help build these outstanding benches. They learned how to use a variety of tools, team work, communication, safety, and a sense of pride for their accomplishment. A special shout out to Mr. Steinke, Mrs. Benton, Ms. Szutkowski, Mr. Bloch and Mr. Beaty for all your help and guidance with this project. We will definitely miss these 5th graders!

Our fun filled field day will be Thursday, May 23rd! We may have the bounce house back! 😜
