Seckinger High School Newsletter

Announcements and Reminders
Seckinger Families,
As Thanksgiving draws near, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on the many things I am grateful for within our Seckinger community. At the heart of our success is the Seckinger Standard—a commitment to excellence in everything we do. It is more than a goal; it’s the guiding principle that shapes our school culture and guides us down the path forward.
This standard comes to life in countless ways. It’s in the dedication of our teachers, who go above and beyond to create meaningful learning experiences for our students. It’s in the unwavering support of our parents and guardians, who partner with us to ensure that every student is set up for success. And it’s in the determination of our students, who challenge themselves daily to achieve greatness, both in and out of the classroom.
As we pause to give thanks this holiday season, I encourage all of us to celebrate the collective effort that upholds the Seckinger Standard and makes our school an exceptional place to learn, grow, and thrive. Together, we are creating something truly special.
May your Thanksgiving be filled with joy, gratitude, and time well spent with family. Thank you for all you do to uphold and embody the Seckinger Standard in our school and beyond.
With appreciation,
Jimmy Fisher
Principal

We enjoyed hosting Mr. Matthew Holtkamp, Gwinnett County Commissioner, as our Principal of the Day this past Wednesday. The Principal for a Day program is a collaboration between the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and Gwinnett County Public Schools that gives business leaders the opportunity to shadow a school principal for a day. The program aims to help participants understand the daily responsibilities of a school principal and the challenges and rewards of the role. Mr. Holtkamp had the opportunity to meet with students and staff, observe lessons and participate in classroom activities.
