Kindergarten- Sequenced the Lunar New Year book: Amy Wu's and the Lantern Festival by Kat Zhang
First Grade- Explained the author's purpose for the book: Martin's Big Words by Doreen Rappaport
Second Grade-Answered multiple choice comprehension questions in a digital actvity for social studies literacy: The Hospital Book by Lisa Brown
Third Grade- Listened to Tall Tales: Paul Bunyan and Molly Pitcher and answered mulitple choice questions on these tall tales in a digital activity.
Fourth Grade- Identified the outside and inside character traits for main characters in personal narratives: Freedom Summer by Deborah Wiles and Enemy Pie by Derek Munson

Students in K-1 listened to these Caldecott Award Books before doing their own illustrating with watercolors.
