Minimum Standards for Childcare Licensing
In addition to our fully accredited PK-8th grade programs, MSA is licensed through the state of Texas to provide childcare services. Our summer Discovery Camp falls under the guidelines outlined in the Minimum Standards for Childcare Licensing. These standards outline the bare minimum we must do to ensure the safety of the children in our care. Please take some time to look over the standards paying particular attention to ratios, transportation, discipline and guidance, health and safety, field trips, and general care of school age children.
General Policies & Procedures
During this session, we will go through the Parent Handbook and Employee Handbook provided. By the end of the session, you should be able to answer the following:

Fraying or distressing is OK so long as it does not show skin

We love flip flops, but they can be a trip hazard when supervising kids
No tank tops or spaghetti straps
We know its hot, but modesty is important to us and our parents! Also is it is important to watch the cut of the neckline on t-shirts.
