Dear Weller Families:

Thank you for taking time to attend Back to School Night, Meet & Greet Teachers and Staff, and the PTO Back to School Picnic. We have had a fantastic first few days of school! As you might know, bus routes and times have changed from last year. Be sure to look in ParentVue for bus numbers, the bus stop locations, and the times for pick up and drop off.

We really appreciate your cooperation in getting your children safely and on time to school. Thanks for following procedures!

The Steuart Weller PTO organizes restaurant Spirit Nights. This means that the local restaurant will donate a portion of their sales that night to Steuart Weller PTO. Our first Spirit Night is Wednesday, September 4 from 4pm to 8pm, visit Raising Cane's (see flyer)

Fall Picture Day is scheduled for Monday, September 16. Pick out that special outfit, get your hair spruced up, and your smile ready! individual pictures are a great keepsake.

If you are interested in volunteering at Weller, please complete the volunteer screening application attached to this email and contact your child's teacher about your interest. Return the signed volunteer form to the office. Attention: Mr. Dolansky.

Next week we will begin the first round of assessments, Measures of Academic Progress. Students in grades 1-5 will be taking these nationally normed assessments. Results of the assessments will be posted in ParentVue. First Grade students take the math assessment; students in second through fifth take math and reading assessments. You can view up-to-date testing information and dates on this page.

Now is the time to register for our 2024-2025 ASAP Session 1!

Registration is now open until Friday, September 6 at 8pm. No late registrations will be accepted.

Students are only able to participate in ONE course per day. There is a cap on all courses. So get your registration in soon.

ASAP Session 1 will run from September 9th - November 15th. Sessions will be on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday's from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

*Make up sessions due to student holidays will be completed the weeks of Nov. 18th-23rd, and Dec. 2nd-6th.

Student Arrival: 7:10am-7:30am
Student Bell Schedule: 7:30am-2:15pm
Student Dismissal: 2:15pm-2:20pm

*Students must be in their classroom prior to 7:30am or they will be counted as tardy.

To better serve you, Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) is asking families to begin the Online Verification process for the 2024-25 school. This means you can fill out and update all required, important information about your student(s) via ParentVUE in advance. Once completing verification, you will be able to see student bus and class schedules once they go live.

If you should need to change your child's dismissal plans, we request that you do NOT email your child's classroom teacher. We request that ALL CHANGES IN DISMISSAL be CALLED into our school's office. Please call 571-252-2360 with any last minute changes. These calls should be made BEFORE 1:30pm so that we can communicate these changes to the correct individuals.

The PTO is for every parent or guardian and all staff members. There is not a fee to join!

Meetings are held once per month. The first meeting will be on Friday, September 20 at 8:00am. A virtual link will be sent that morning at 7:15am.
