📆 2025-26 Academic Calendar Survey
The 2025-26 Academic Calendar Survey is available for feedback!
As we plan for the 2025-2026 school year, we value your input in shaping an academic calendar that meets the needs of our students, families, and staff. Pflugerville ISD strives to create a balanced and thoughtful calendar that supports high-quality instruction, considers family schedules, and accommodates important holidays and professional development for our educators.
The proposed calendar options were thoughtfully developed by the District Academic Advisory Council (DAAC), a group of parents, staff, and community members who work collaboratively to ensure the calendar reflects our district's diverse needs. Learn more about how the calendar is created and approved.
The DAAC presents two (2) 25-26 calendars, Draft 1 and Draft 2, for your consideration and feedback. Below are the two drafts and a side-by-side comparison of the two options. After reviewing the calendars, please take a few minutes to complete this survey and ensure your voice is considered.
The survey will remain open until Jan. 16, 2025.
🚫Safe Gun Storage Saves Lives
With children at home for winter break, now’s the time to put safe gun storage on your holiday to-do list.
Follow These 3 steps to safe gun storage
1. Store Firearms - Store unloaded and secured by using a trigger lock, biometric lock, gun case, strong box, gun cabinet or gun safe.
2. Store Ammunition - Store and lock ammunition safely.
3. Restrict Access - Keep others from getting access to stored firearms 24/7. That includes family, friends, children, or other visitors.
Learn how to store guns safely at SafeGunStorageTexas.com.

Edith Colon at Riojas Elementary 1st Grade (via:Cinthia G.) She is an amazing teacher! She goes above and beyond her teacher duties to make sure her students are well taken care of. She also keeps the parents informed and involved. She motivates her students and keeps learning fun! We are excited to have her as a role model for our little one.
Latanya Bell Choir at Weiss HS (via:Laura C) Her commitment to the Weiss Choir Department is something you do not see very often in schools today. Every year she impresses parents with the students choral skills. Last nights performance with Coach on drums and the Little Howlers Howling Christmas carols made a magical night for so many family. Thank you Ms.Bell for another amazing performance.
Melissa Russell at Rowe Lane Elementary School (via: Eva C.) I want to thank her for everything she has done for Jaiden. As an autistic child, he has spent a lot of time in therapy, but since joining her class, I’ve seen such amazing progress. She helped him grow and improve in ways that go beyond what we’ve expected, and I’m so grateful for her patience and care.
She made your classroom a place where Jaiden’s feels safe and encouraged, and that’s made all the difference. It’s clear that her support has helped him both in learning and feeling more confident. I thank her for believing in him and helping him so much.
Alayna Spivey at Brookhollow Elementary (via: Brandy N) Our daughter is thriving in Ms. Spivey's class this year. You would never know this is her first year teaching. She is shining bright and clearly doing an amazing job with the children.
We are so pleased with Charley's continued academic and social emotional growth. She has been encourage to join a BOOK CLUB and is loving this element to the class curriculum. WOW! Just amazing. Ms. Spivey has an encouraging and successful teaching career ahead if her. Thank you for this gem of a teacher.
David Barnes and Jacqueline Fullerton at Park Crest Middle School (via: Jessica W.) Thank you for all of your hard work on the winter band concert! It was wonderful to hear the students play. I appreciate how you both make band so fun and engaging for our students.
Irene Hernandez at Pflugerville High School (via:PHS Panther Celebration) Irene has gone above and beyond to help us out with Panther Celebration. She is always quick to respond to emails and find out information we need. She always maintains a high level of professionalism and is such a kind person. On 12/14/24, we held our Holiday Marketplace at PHS and Irene offered to be there early (7:30am to open the doors for us).She stayed until our event ended. We appreciated her giving up one of her weekend days to support us. PHS is lucky to have Irene at that school.
