WEEK 30: BACK FROM SPRING BREAK!
Student Service Animal
Hello Viper Families!
Beginning this coming week, a service dog will be on campus daily to assist a student. I kindly request your cooperation in helping your child understand the importance of maintaining a safe and focused environment for the student and their service dog.
Please inform your child that service dogs are working animals. Therefore, students should refrain from interacting with the service dog while it is on duty at school. Although highly-trained, distractions may hinder the service dog’s ability to effectively assist the student.
Thank you for your cooperation in communicating this information with your child to ensure a positive, inclusive campus.
If you have any questions regarding the presence of the service dog, please feel free to contact me via email.
Thank you,
Kevin Thomas
Principal

🧠 MASTERY LEARNING IN THE AFUHSD 🧠
📝 Introduction to Master Learning 📝
Why Mastery Learning?
Our district is committed to not only focusing on academic knowledge but also equipping students with the skills they need to succeed in the workforce. By helping students master skills, our high schools ensure that graduates are better prepared for the demands and expectations of the professional world. Along with key academic coursework, mastering skills in high school can have a long-lasting impact on students' careers. The skills students develop during their education can serve as a solid foundation for their future professional growth. Proficiency in skills such as technology, leadership, creativity, and collaboration can contribute to career advancement and open doors to opportunities. We believe that students who develop strong skills during their education are more likely to embrace continuous learning and seek personal and professional development throughout their lives. This is crucial in a rapidly evolving job market where individuals need to adapt to new technologies, industries, and work environments.
