Anita from the business office, who also sells eggs, visited the Culinary Arts/Restaurant Management Classes this week. She showed students how to weigh eggs, and in the picture below, how to determine if the egg is good or bad... by seeing if it floats in the water. You can see the egg floating in the picture!

Students can now make eggs in a variety of ways, including hard boiled, scrambled, and omelets after this egg-cellent time in class!

Eddie catches a ride with janitor Dallas as they head off to change light bulbs. Eddie is one of 14 students who have taken Mrs. Lehrke's Youth Internship class this year. His placement is with the school district's maintenance department.

Students in this class have partnered with various community businesses and organizations including Edgewood Assisted Living, Grow SD, KBWS Radio Station, and Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center to learn practical job skills.

The 2024-2025 Journalism staff, lead by Mrs. Gregg, has been working hard this year to put together a yearbook that is full of student pictures, memories, and this year--artwork!

Yearbooks are now on sale. Order forms have been sent home in the mail. If you need a new form, stop into the office and pick one up. A basic yearbook is $35. If you want personalization, it is an additional cost, see form for details. Return forms with payment to Mrs. Gregg.

Stay caught up with your homework and grades by participating in Homework Help every Thursday in the SHS library from 3:20-5:00 pm. Come for a quiet space to work and extra support from teachers.
