This month's Panther focus: "RESPONSIBILITY"
Hello PV Families,
Hope you are all doing well!
We at PV had a wonderful week. Our student-led Blue and Gold assembly was incredible! The event was hosted by Mr. Worth’s 3rd-grade class, with presentations from Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th-grade students. Our Kindergarteners performed a song on Responsibility, reinforcing our PV Pride focus of the month. This was followed by a beautiful interpretive dance by Mrs. Donovan’s class to A Million Dreams, and Mrs. Didden’s class facilitated a Presidents' Day quiz show with questions compiled from all the 4th-grade classes. We wrapped up the assembly by celebrating our growth in math and reading benchmark assessments. Our school set a goal of 100 points of growth, with a stretch goal of 120. Once we achieve it, students will vote on how they want to celebrate!
Speaking of assessments, the i-Ready family letter, along with your child’s report, will be sent home next month. We encourage you to review your child's progress together—celebrating their achievements and discussing the goals they’ve set in class to help track their learning. Encourage, inspire, and celebrate their growth every day! If you have any questions about the report, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Additionally, please review the attached letter from our Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction regarding our state assessment schedule.
We also had a fantastic turnout for Family Math Night! Thank you for always showing up to support the events we plan for our students and families. Your participation strengthens our goal of Academic Excellence and Sense of Belonging for all.
Looking ahead, we are excited for:
Culture Night on the 20th
Grade 5 Concert on the 27th
Additionally, PV Yard Goats ticket sales for June 14th are now open! Purchase your tickets using this link: Yard Goats Ticket Sale.
Mrs. Trudeau celebrated our Student of the Month for Responsibility today—congratulations to our students for demonstrating this important value!
As we move into next month, our focus will be Kindness—encouraging students to show compassion, empathy, and respect in their daily interactions. Let’s continue to uplift and support one another as we build a strong and caring school community!
