Mission

The mission of the Club Hill Elementary Counseling Program is to provide a proactive, comprehensive, and developmentally appropriate program to support students' academic, personal/social needs, and career goals so that they become successful and lifelong learners in a diverse and changing world.

Sept. 23rd-27th - You Matter Week

September is Suicide Prevention and Mental Health/Wellness month! Classroom guidance lessons for the month of September will focus on student mental health and wellness. I will be introducing the concept of holistic health focusing on the "whole child". Students will learn a broader definition of "wellness" and how the different components - physical, social, and mental/emotional - interconnect and make up the whole. Lessons describe the concept of wellness, the different components of wellness, and how they all work together. The overall message is that "Every part counts!"

Students with perfect attendance record throughout September will be entered into a district raffle for a special prize! Students will be selected from each grade level band for gift card prizes, so let's get our students involved. Students that do not have any absences between September 2, 2024 thru September 30, 2024 will be entered into a drawing for one of: Gift cards from Strike & Reel, several food locations, Elementary-6 Tablets, or Secondary - 6 Beats headphones. The drawing will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.

Success in school means a world of opportunities. Encouraging your children to attend college is possible and affordable. Financial aid, grants, and scholarships are available to everyone and it's never to early to start planning for the future!

Club Hill STEM will celebrate the value of continuing higher education by providing information and encouragement to all students in regards to pursuing post secondary education and fulfilling career goals.

This week is designed to promote self-love, compassion, and kindness towards oneself and others, and to hopefully help all kids realize they are important, special and loved. This week we are emphasizing every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and loved. YOU Matter at Club Hill STEM!

Families are encouraged to establish activities that address the "Three Signature Practices" at-home similar to the school environment. When students observe that home and school are engaged in a respectful partnership for their benefit, they are more likely to develop positive attitudes about school and have greater success overall.
