Ice Cream Sales Begin Next Week!
We are excited to announce that ice cream will be available for purchase starting next week for just $1. Here’s the schedule for each grade level:
- 3rd Grade: Wednesday
- 4th Grade: Thursday
- 5th Grade: Thursday
Please note, students are not allowed to charge for the ice cream. If you're unsure whether your child has the money on the day of purchase, feel free to send an extra dollar with them.
Parking Anyone
Come support CES by parking at Margaret Beeks Elementary during the next Virginia Tech game! Parking is available for $15, and all proceeds will go directly towards supporting our school. The lot will open 3 hours prior to kickoff, so spread the word! Tell your friends and neighbors, and share it on social media. Since we don’t do traditional school fundraisers, this is a key way we earn money to support our students and school community. We hope to see you there!
Start The Morning Off With Breakfast With Friends
Remember we serve breakfast every morning beginning at 8:45-9:10. Our students love eating breakfast in the cafeteria because they are able to sit with their friends when they come off the bus.
In addition, Ms. Jackie and her team cut up fresh vegetables every day to give our students some healthy choices. The fresh vegetables and fruits are unlimited and students can eat as many as they want.
The link will take you to the MCPS menu page for CES where you can find all the delicious listings. If you need Free or Reduced lunch please complete the attached link.
Be on the lookout for All-In Tutoring forms!
We will begin sending letters within the next two weeks. Slots are always limited, so availability will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
We will offer both morning and afternoon sessions:
Morning tutoring: Drop-off at 7:45 AM, and sessions will run from 7:45-8:30 AM. After tutoring, students can enjoy breakfast in the cafeteria, either brought from home or purchased from the school.
Afternoon tutoring: Sessions will run from 3:45-4:55 PM. Transportation will be provided for students attending afternoon tutoring, though you are welcome to pick up your child if preferred. Snacks are also provided for afterschool.
Keep an eye out for the forms and secure a spot early!
We Need Your Help......We don't Want To See This
Our drivers works really hard to keep students safe while on the bus. However it is just one bus driver and they can’t see everything that happens. Stress to your child riding a bus is not a right it is a privilege. The last thing we want to do is remove a student from a bus, but our goal is safety first.
During the first 8 days of school our teachers taught bus expectations. Unfortunately, we are seeing bus behaviors that create an unsafe environment for all students riding. Please talk with your child about these rules.
Should be seated until the bus comes to a stop.
Should keep their hands to themselves. Even if it is with a friend, those games never end well.
Hands should always be inside the bus and not out of the window
A low voice should be used on the bus no yelling.
