A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPALS
MS. BENNINGFIELD, LOWER CAMPUS
I hope you have a wonderful holiday break with your loved ones. The holidays are a great reminder of all that we have to be thankful for. I am truly humbled and thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with all of you in support of our little bison.
Our students have grown so much in these four months of school and I am looking forward to seeing that growth during our middle of year assessments. This upcoming week we will begin iReady MOY testing at Lower Campus. The MOY iReady assessment will provide important growth data for our teachers to personalize instruction for our bison. Two weeks ago at our “Coffee with the Principals,” I spoke about the importance of reducing testing anxiety. One of the easiest ways to reduce test anxiety is to talk about it. Our little bison want to do their best for those they care about including their families and teachers, which can create a sense of pressure. Help us remind students that the iReady assessment measures growth so they might not know the answer to every question and that is okay! It is important that they try to do their best. If you have any questions about testing logistics, please reach out to Ms. Garcia, our assistant principal and testing coordinator at mergarcia@dallasisd.org
MS. MUNVES UPPER CAMPUS
I hope that your week is filled with warmth, gratitude, and joy. I look forward to the remainder of the semester and the opportunity to connect with many of you at our December community events and performances.
