A Note from our New Principal
Hello Seward and Moose Pass Communities,
I’m Scott Lefebvre, and I am thrilled to step into the role of Principal at Seward Middle School and Moose Pass Elementary School. The opportunity to work with such vibrant and dedicated communities is truly exciting for me. My passion lies in fostering positive relationships and creating an environment where students, parents, and staff feel supported and valued. I believe that when we collaborate and build strong connections, we lay the foundation for a successful and enriching educational experience. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to make our schools a place where everyone thrives. Whether you have suggestions to share, something to celebrate, concerns that need attention, or simply want to connect, I'm all ears.
Thank you for welcoming me to these wonderful communities—I’m eager to get started on this journey with you all!
Warm regards-,
Scott Lefebvre

Hope School Happenings
Welcome Back: We are looking forward to a new and bright year in Hope. Our students first day of school is August 21st. Arrival time begins at 8:45. First period begins promptly at 9:00 am. Dismissal is at 3:30 pm. Thank you to all who took the time to re-enroll your students and update all forms and information. Hopefully each of you remembered to sign up to attend field trips and participate in school functions, etc. If not please visit https://kpbsd.org/departments/assistant-superintendent/instructional-services/hr/volunteer/ You may contact us at 907-782-3202 with any questions you may have but before you do, please check your email. We have tried to think ahead about information you may want or need and send an email inclusive of that information.
FIELD TRIPS: Your teachers and administrator have been busy planning field trips already. Please remember that the volunteer process must be completed for those who will be participating as chaperones, etc. We want parent involvement and find it to be very important to our students experiences in our school. Paperwork will be provided by the teachers you. They are handling the entire process. Please help them to meet their deadlines in order for your student(s) to participate. Please see your student(s) teacher with any questions you may have or forms you may need.
As part of our school emergency plan, we have attached a letter providing you with information you will find important. Student safety is our number one job. Cindy McKibben has prepared a letter for your family to ensure you know how we communicate during an Emergency event. Your cooperation is essential in an emergency. Please review the attached letter for School Emergency.
Please visit our school website for information at any time during the school year. Also, like and follow us on facebook.
