Welcome Back!
August/September Newsletter
Dear Central Community Elementary School Families,
I hope this letter finds you and your family well-rested, rejuvenated, and ready for an exciting new school year! It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as your new principal at Central Community Elementary School. Joining your community is an absolute honor, and I am eager to embark on this journey with all of you.
As we prepare to welcome our students back to school, I want to express how deeply committed I am to ensuring that every child at CCES thrives both academically and personally. Our school serves a diverse group of learners from Pre-K through 5th grade, and it is our mission to provide a nurturing and enriching environment where each student can reach their full potential.
One of the cornerstones of our success will be the strong partnership between home and school. Research consistently shows that students excel when there is a close collaboration between educators and families. Your involvement and support are essential to your child’s educational experience, and I encourage you to engage in school activities, communicate with teachers, and share your ideas and concerns. Together, we can create a community that is not only welcoming and supportive but also deeply committed to the success of every student.
As we begin this school year, there will be many opportunities for you to get involved, from parent-teacher conferences and school events to volunteer opportunities and more. I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to make this school year a memorable and successful one for our students.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. I am confident that, with your partnership, this year will be filled with growth, learning, and joyful experiences.
Let’s make this school year one to remember!
Warm regards,
Michael Glynn

Nurse News
A completed (signed by physician and parent) medication permission form is required for all students needing medication at school, including inhalers and EpiPen's. Attached is a form you can print at home, fill out, and send back in. Or you can get a form from our office!
Parent Drop Off *NEW CHANGES*
We have a new procedure for parent drop off this school year. Our buses will go back to using the bus loop in the morning, which means NO vehicles should be in the bus loop from 7:30-8:00am.
If you plan to drop your child off and have them walk into the building on their own, please use our "quick drop off" loop to do so.
If you plan to walk your child into the building, please use our parking lot to park and go inside.
We will have staff outside to help assist with this new transition for the first few days of school.
Please do not drop off students prior to 7:30. We do not have staff available to monitor students.
Parent Pick Up *Same procedure*
In the afternoon only, the bus loop is open to parents for parent pick up. You can use either the bus loop or the "quick drop off loop" to pick up your students. Students will come outside around 2:15pm and will walk to your vehicle. If you plan to come inside to pick up a student, please use our parking lot to park.
Sometimes, buses will be parked along the outer side of the bus loop. Please do not block them in.
We will have staff available to help this process run smoothly!
Students can be picked up between 2:15-2:40. If they are not picked up before 2:40, we will have one of our staff give you a call and they will remain in the office.
