Welcome Back!

We returned from our break to be treated to a delicious pancake breakfast on January 6th. Thank you to our Foods 20/30, leadership students, and the nutrition grant for making this event successful.

It’s hard to believe that we are coming to the end of semester one. Teachers are finalizing the last of the learning outcomes and reviewing in preparation for high school and diploma exams. It is important for our students to get enough sleep, study in an area without distractions, eat healthy foods, and be kind to themselves. Titans who take care of themselves do their best!

We are very appreciative of the financial support from both Tofield and CW Sears School Councils supporting the presentation from JO(e) Social Media: Let’s Start a Conversation, who were at our school on December 15 to present to grades 4 to 12 and our parents. We understand that social media is part of our everyday lives. Let's start the conversation about how we can use and model positive behavior on social media.

In the second semester you will hear about some changes that have been initiated from a student survey completed in December. We are presently finalizing all the data so stay tuned for some announcements after January 16.

Caught being a Titan is a positive incentive program which focuses on positive student behaviors. In Quarter 2 our school focus was “Respect” from theTofield School behavior matrix. A recognition celebration will be held on January 16 in the student commons for those students who demonstrate respect consistently.

We will be sharing the names of all students acknowledged after the recognition celebration.

Finally, we are thankful for the wonderful and mild winter weather at this time. However, as winter is still upon us, we would like to remind everyone that when buses are not running, all students have access to their google classroom from home in order to complete assignments, and they can also request a google meet with their teacher for support.

A huge thank you from the Breakfast Program to Claystone Waste for providing a $3000 grant to our school to provide food for our program. We appreciate the generosity!

Also a big thank you to Busy Bee in Tofield for donating mannequin heads to our Cosmetology class. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Tofield students from Grades 5, 6, 9, and North Star got into the holiday spirit and helped assemble Christmas hampers in December.

Thanks to our Foods 30 and some Leadership students for cooking up a delicious pancake breakfast for students and staff on January 6! Also a special thanks to the Breakfast Program, Tofield Packers, and the Town of Tofield for contributing to the breakfast!

Thanks to some great community volunteers, Grade 10 CALM students were able to learn about what it's like to be a paramedic!

• Requires proof of age and grade of the child to be upload by Parents/Guardians.
• Can be used to book ski days in advance at participating ski areas once the SnowPass application is approved

Tofield/Beaver County West Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) will be partnering with Camrose Family Resource Centre’s Krista Lantz to facilitate a Teen Parent Education series.
