Message from Mrs. Tremps
Dear Brandywine Families,
As we wrap up the first quarter, I want to thank you for your continued support and engagement in your child’s education. Our Badgers truly are difference makers! October is an exciting month, and we have great events and opportunities ahead!
Parent-Teacher Conferences
On October 18th, we will be holding our Parent-Teacher Conferences. This is a valuable opportunity to check in on your child’s progress, celebrate successes, and discuss any areas for growth. Here are a few tips to make the most of your conference:
- Prepare questions ahead of time about your child's academic and social development.
- Share information about your child that may be helpful for the teacher to know (strengths, challenges, interests).
- Focus on solutions and strategies that can support your child's growth at school and home.
- Collaborate on setting goals for the upcoming quarter to help your child thrive.
Upcoming Events
- October 18th – Online Learning Day and Parent-Teacher Conferences
- October 18th at 6 PM – PTO Movie Night (details linked below)
- October 21st – Student Holiday/Professional Development Day for Staff
- October 21st-25th – National School Bus Safety Week and Bus Driver Appreciation Week
Read-A-Thon is Coming!
Mark your calendars for November 1st-8th as we kick off Brandywine's annual Read-A-Thon! Our Badgers will be enjoying a cowboy theme this year! This is our biggest fundraiser, where we challenge students to read as much as they can while raising money to improve our school. Last year, we were able to purchase new playground equipment, thanks to your support and donations from community partners! We’re excited to see how much our community can achieve together this year.
Thank you for your partnership and ongoing support. Let’s continue to work together to make this school year amazing!
Warm regards,
Daisy Tremps
Principal

Counselor's Corner
On November 10th at 4:30 PM at Forsyth Central High School, FCS will be hosting the Dr. Jim and Peggie Morrow Glow 5K Run/Walk for Educators! Each school will have a team and we would love for Brandywine to be represented in a BIG WAY! The funds raised during this event will continue to fund staff scholarships to current paraprofessionals who wish to advance to a teaching position and teachers who wish to advance to a school counselor role. Our own Badgers, Rosie Nunez & Andrea Blanco were recipients of this last year! All parents, students, family, and community members are encouraged to participate! There is also an option to be a virtual runner if you are not available that evening.
