PV WEEKLY

We will have a shortened week next week due to the Thanksgiving break. School will dismiss at 12:25 on Wednesday and the district will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The 7th and 8th grade winter concert will be Tuesday, December 10th at 6:30 at Pequannock Township High School. Please note the times below for band and choir. The 6th grade concert will be in January.

Please note that no one will be permitted to try out without registering and providing an up to date physical. This is the only sport taking place during the small window of time between winter and spring. Spring sports registration will be shared later in the school year.

There will be an 8th grade party and breakfast planning meeting on Thursday, December 12th at 6:00 P.M. at PV. If parents/guardians would like to be involved with the planning of either event, please plan on attending. The theme and committees will be selected during the meeting and it should not last longer than 45-60 minutes.

To gain a clearer understanding of the effectiveness of our new schedules (PV & PTHS) and later start time (PTHS), the district intends to gather information from different stakeholder groups throughout the year. Our first round of surveys are designed to be general and provide a basic understanding of initial impressions.

The three different surveys (students, staff, families) are intentionally similar to ensure that we can accurately compare perspectives from each group. Follow up surveys will be similarly designed and involve more specific questions that align to the increased familiarity with the schedules. Your input is appreciated. Please complete the survey by 11/27.

Students will be completing these surveys during the next two weeks.

There will be a naming ceremony of the PTHS Gym in honor of Ruth Kellett on December 19th at 6:30 P.M.

The PTHS Music Dept. is currently doing a holiday apparel sale with items mostly specific to the high school music ensembles but Cozy Embroidery has also included a wearable blanket with a general Pequannock Panther logo. The webstore will close on November 27 and the hooded blankets will arrive in time for the holidays, so this would make a great holiday gift.
