NJHS fundraiser
Grades 5-8 STEM club
Please complete this form if your child is interested in joining the STEM Club at CGS. Some of the activities that we will be participating in will include engineering balloon-powered cars, solar robots, paper speakers, slime, and trebuchets. The STEM Club will be held after school from 2:45 to 3:45 once a week for a 5 week period, beginning the week of 2/24. There will be two sessions. The first 5 weeks will focus on grades 5 and 6 and the last 5 weeks will focus on grades 7 and 8. The purpose of this survey is to gather data for planning purposes to see who is interested and what weekday works best for most.
If you have any questions, please email Ms. Kathy Turmel @ knturmel@methuen.k12.ma.us
Attention 8th grade families! 📣
We need your help! Our fundraiser to offset the costs of the 8th grade celebration week will be starting soon. Please consider donating $25 gift cards to local establishments. These gifts will be part of the important calendar fundraiser done in March.
If you are interested in helping to organize or plan any of the 8th grade fundraisers, please contact Tanya Alberghene at twincessmom24@gmail.com.
Thank you!
A note from MHS interim Principal Anthony Curet:
MHS Open House- Thursday February 6, 2025 5:30-7:00pm
In October a group of MHS students and staff made a roadshow presentation at all 4 grammar schools to promote Methuen High School as a destination school. After an outpouring of requests from parents to see the presentation, we are happy to present the MHS roadshow presentation to families of all 7th and 8th grade prospective MHS students. We hope that you will join us in our schools auditorium as we present all that we have to offer at Methuen High School. Afterwards enjoy a tour of the building by one of our current students and/or enjoy a Methuen High School athletic event free of admissions charge. We look forward to seeing everyone on February 6.
UPDATE: Collective Bargaining Agreement as of 11/15

Attendance Matters
Handle with Care
If a student is experiencing any personal difficulty at home, we would like to provide additional support at school. We understand that you are not always able to share details and that is OK. If your child is coming to school after a difficult night, morning or weekend, please email the teacher with the subject “Handle with Care.” Nothing else will need to be said or asked, unless you want to share. This will let the teacher know that your child may need extra time,
patience or care during the day.
