The Weekly Update #4
May 22nd, 2024
Message from Dawn & Cam
It is hard to believe that June is almost upon us! It has been an exciting spring full of so many fantastic events and cool learning opportunities for our SAM students. Most recently, our grade 5 students visited the John E Poole Wetlands for a collaborative project with the IB students at Bellerose Composite High School, we continue to complete our swim lessons at Fountain Park Pool, and we have hosted a couple notable family events, including our Breakfast for Dinner Family Celebration and SAM Showcase.
Once again, our Breakfast for Dinner Family Celebration event was a big hit with our school community! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy a meal of homecooked pancakes and sausages, especially with Game 1 of Round 3 scheduled at the same time! It was so wonderful to have so many of our SAM friends join us for an evening filled with food, fun, and family! And, a HUGE thank you to all our staff who flipped hundreds of pancakes and sausages!
Also, special congratulations goes out to all our incredibly talented and courageous SAM students who shared their talents and interests with us at our annual SAM Showcase last week. It was fantastic to see such a diverse array of interests, skills, and student passions on display! It is so great to see so much community participation in all our school events!
We wish you all a wonderful weekend and look forward to an exciting June!
