Principal's Message
Hello Families!
I know we are all very busy with our careers and life in general. One thing I wish I could do more of, but am unable to, is to read with my young children. Two out of my three of my college aged children are avid readers. We don't always bat one-thousand, but we can swing for the fences!
One thing I remember is the important times when Katie, John, and Lauren were in elementary school and I often read to them before bed. It really built a strong bond with them. I encourage all our families, no matter how busy you might be, to take 10-15 minutes to read to your child the next week. It is so valuable to them, and for you.
One thing I remember was taking my children to the library occasionally and having them choose books. The memories are priceless. I know you each have busy lives, but I encourage you to take time to read regularly, at home, with your children! It is fun, and trust me, I know there are many good excuses. I took more than a few times to sleep rather than read with them, but find really priceless the memories and the value I had with reading to my young children, even when I was exhausted. It is also great to have them read to you!
Have an awesome week! We really appreciate our families!
Mr. Heck
