We are ready for our Gators to join us for the 1st day of school, Thursday, August 8th:

• Schedules should be available to view in Skyward...otherwise students will get it Day 1.
• Doors open at 8:20 am and the tardy bell rings at 8:50 am
• Car rider students remain in the parent vehicle until 8:20 (when staff are on duty).
• Parents should remain in the vehicle.
• Students may not be picked up or dropped off in the teacher parking lot.
• Walking students should not arrive on campus before 8:20.
• If your child has access to bus services, please send your child to school on the bus starting the first day.
• Make sure your child knows their home address, subdivision, and an emergency phone number.
• Send a sack lunch the first week of school to help us practice lunch room procedures.
• Please update your child's lunch account prior to the 1st day of school.
• Students will be directed to grade level staging areas as they arrive to campus, and will be seated according to 1st period teacher name.
• If you or your child cannot access Skyward to check the 1st period teacher name, staff members will be available to assist.
• Students only need a pen or pencil the first day of school.
• Teachers will give instructions when to bring supplies.
• Bus routes often run late the first few days, don't panic.
• Middle school dismisses at 4:10 pm.
• Students may not be picked up or dropped off in the teacher parking lot.

Every family must complete a new household meal application each school year unless your household receives a notice of Direct Certification for meal benefits. Learn how to apply for meal benefits on SchoolCafé.

Students who qualify for Free and Reduced-Price Meals, may also qualify for additional Discounted Programs including Internet Access.

If your child plans to participate in athletics this coming school year, he/she must have a current physical on file with the coaches. Access the physical form by clicking here.

In order to maintain balance of classroom numbers and to minimize disruptions to the

academic process, schedule changes will be made for the following reasons by using the

Schedule Change Request Form.

• A student has already taken a class in which they are currently scheduled.
• A male has been scheduled into a female PE/Athletics, or vice versa.
• A student is in a class for which they do not have the appropriate prerequisite (i.e.,enrolled in • Spanish II and has not taken Spanish I).

A student requiring a schedule correction must complete a Schedule Change Request

Form and submit it to their grade level counselor. The deadline for all schedule corrections is 9

days after the start of each semester.

Even though we will not be using lockers in the academic hallways, your child will need a combination lock for PE/KickStart and Band (if they are taking band). You can often find combination locks in a 2-pack, with the same combination for both. Have your student practice throughout the summer opening the lock. Many tutorial videos can be found on YouTube, one of which is posted below.
