Director's Absence
I am currently absent from school to attend the annual Head of School Symposium today May 3rd and tomorrow May 4th, organized by the Association of International Schools of Africa (AISA) in Zanzibar. This event is sponsored by the State Department of Education and provides a valuable opportunity for professional development and collaboration within the international education community.
I appreciate your understanding and support as we prioritize the professional growth and development of our leadership team to better serve the needs of our students and community. I will be back at school on Monday.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Dr. Laura Viban

Parent Teacher Conferences
I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all parents who attended the recent Parent-Teacher Conferences. Your active participation and involvement in your child's education are invaluable and play a crucial role in their academic success and overall well-being.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are a vital platform for open communication, collaboration, and partnership between parents and teachers. These meetings provide a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's progress, strengths, areas for improvement, and set goals for their academic and personal growth. By working together, we can create a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters student success.
If any parent has any concerns or issues that were not addressed during the recent conferences, I encourage you to schedule a follow-up meeting with your child's teacher. Your child's academic success is our top priority, and we are committed to working closely with you to address any concerns and provide the necessary support.
Please reach out to the respective teachers to schedule a meeting at your earliest convenience. Our teachers are dedicated to supporting each student and working collaboratively with parents to ensure the best possible educational experience for your child.
Once again, thank you for your active participation in the recent Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Thank you for your continued partnership.

MAP Test- Spring Session
Reminder!!!!!
The Spring MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing schedule for elementary students is ready. These assessments are an important tool that helps us measure your child's academic growth and progress throughout the school year.
The Spring MAP testing for elementary students will take place on the following dates:
- Testing for Elementary Students: May 6-10
It is essential that your child is present and on time for these testing dates. Please ensure that your child gets plenty of rest the night before each testing day and has a healthy breakfast to support their concentration and performance.
Our teachers will ensure that the testing environment is conducive to your child's success and that they feel supported throughout the assessment process. Following the assessments, you will receive detailed reports on your child's academic progress, which will help guide their learning and development moving forward.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Spring MAP testing schedule, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at director@aisbrazza.org.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. Together, we can help each student reach their full potential and achieve academic success.
International Baccalaureate (IB) News
I'm pleased to share some exciting updates regarding our school's progress in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
After the hard work and dedication of our teachers and school administration, I am thrilled to announce that the following verification dates for the MYP program have been approved after the consultation visit:
MYP Verification Dates: June 6 and 7
This is a significant milestone for our school, and I want to extend my gratitude to our staff for their commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in delivering the MYP curriculum to our students.
Furthermore, following the recent DP visit on campus, the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) has agreed that we can submit our application for authorization on July 1st. This is evidence of the collective effort and dedication of our school community towards meeting the rigorous standards of the IB programme.
We are excited about the prospect of becoming an authorized IB World School and the opportunities it will bring for our students to engage in a globally recognized and rigorous educational framework.
I want to thank each and every one of you for your support, collaboration, and hard work that have contributed to our progress towards IB authorization. Together, we are creating a learning environment that empowers our students to become knowledgeable, principled, and caring global citizens.
I look forward to sharing more good news with you in the near future as we continue on our journey towards becoming an authorized IB World School.
