Dear Mason Elementary School families,
It's a priority for us to communicate with you whenever there has been a disruption to the school day. With that in mind, I'm writing to let you know that we briefly evacuated the school this morning due to dust setting off a smoke alarm.
Teachers and students were outside of the school only briefly while the fire department investigated and quickly gave the all-clear. Our staff worked hard to keep our children under shelter as much as possible, including in portables, during that short time period.
