Hello Pershing Families,

Today is cause for celebration...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. DUKETT! Let's start this week celebrating our TERRIFIC Assistant Principal!!!! Mr. Dukett has had a major impact on our school and students in such a positive way! We hope you are enjoying the last bit of your birthday today with friends and family! We look forward to spoiling you with birthday goodness this week at school!

Tonight is the beginning of our reading for ONE BOOK ONE SCHOOL! We hope everyone will be participating and answering the Trivia Questions each night! We are looking forward to another great year of reading together as a school community.

Lastly, have you spoken to your student(s) about participating in our TALENT SHOW? It's coming up on the 30th so get excited and help us fill the stage with our talented students!

Hoy es un día de celebración... ¡FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS, SR. DUKETT! ¡Comencemos esta semana celebrando a nuestro MARAVILLOSO subdirector! ¡El Sr. Dukett ha tenido un gran impacto en nuestra escuela y en nuestros estudiantes de una manera muy positiva! ¡Esperamos que hoy estés disfrutando de los últimos momentos de tu cumpleaños con amigos y familiares! ¡Esperamos poder consentirte con cosas buenas de cumpleaños esta semana en la escuela!

¡Esta noche es el comienzo de nuestra lectura de ONE BOOK ONE SCHOOL! ¡Esperamos que todos participen y respondan las preguntas de trivia todas las noches! Esperamos otro gran año de lectura juntos como comunidad escolar.

One School One Book has officially begun with The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane! All students and their families are encouraged to read along with the entire Pershing community.

This week's reading assignments:

Monday, January 13: Chapter 1

Tuesday, January 14: Chapters 2-3

Wednesday, January 15: Chapter 4

Thursday, January 16: Chapter 5

Students who answer the nightly trivia questions posted on this website will be entered into a raffle to win prizes!
