IHMS Week Recap
It was a great week at Hills! We celebrated wins by the Royals & the Chiefs, happy birthday serenades, napkin folding in Foods, lip sync battles in Performance, and card games with friends!
Knights' Walk
Thank you to everyone who helped support the Knights’ Walk this school year! All students (and staff) seemed like they had fun. Thank you to our amazing PTA for helping organize this event!
We are so grateful for our family donations…. We raised over 46k! All the donations help provide instructional resources, field trips, school leadership opportunities, and much more! Thank you all for your partnership!
Artists of the Week
Instructional Spotlight
Great job Mrs. Shireman & Mr. Manuel for creatively having students showcase their plating and serving skills through the Twinkie lessons.
Get Out and Vote!
IHMS parents know that supporting our middle schoolers means communicating with their teachers, cheering at their activities, and a lot of carpooling! It also means voting. The elections this November will have important consequences for our public schools, our community, and our kids' futures. Make sure you're registered to vote by the deadline: October 15th! If you're not registered, have moved, or changed your name since you registered, you can get registered or update your registration at the JOCO Election Office: https://www.jocoelection.org/registration/register-vote
Advance in-person voting begins Saturday, October 19th. Please vote for down-ballot races like state senate, state representative, and state board of education. These races don't receive nearly as much media attention as the presidential race, but they have a crucial impact on public education. To be an informed voter, look at a candidate's voting record, read coverage of candidates' platforms, and attend events like the 10/15 state Board of Education race at Hocker Grove.
Thank you for showing up for your kids in so many ways, and for making sure you show up for them on November 5th, too!

Digital Citizenship Week
Digital Citizenship Week (Oct. 14-18) is an annual event that promotes the understanding of how to engage responsibly, ethically, and safely in the digital world. It typically focuses on teaching skills related to online behavior, digital literacy, and the importance of protecting personal information. Schools and organizations often use this week to host activities, workshops, and discussions that empower individuals, especially students, to become informed and responsible digital citizens. It emphasizes topics like internet safety, respect for others online, and the impact of digital footprints. Watch Instagram Oct. 14-18 for some tips on how to be a responsible digital citizen.
