Assistant Principal's Desk
Dear Mahanay Families,
I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to the Mahanay community. My name is Ms. Knowles, and I am honored to be a part of the Mahanay team. With 24 years of experience in the Alief family as a teacher, math specialist, and assistant principal, I am excited to contribute to our students' success at Mahanay. I look forward to collaborating with you to foster an environment of learning and growth for all our students. See you soon!
Dismissal
New Walker Policy
In order to ensure the safety of our students, a permission slip must be signed by a parent permitting students to walk home at dismissal time. Please review the attached walker policy.
Reminders
Early Pickups:
Students picked up prior to dismissal are considered as being absent for part of the school day, similar to a morning tardy, unless the school receives a doctor’s note within three school days. Early Pickups MUST be made prior to 2:30 p.m.
Dismissal Changes:
If you need to change your child's method of dismissal, please send a note in writing to your child's teacher or bring it to the front office. Changes may not be made by phone. Make sure your child knows to give it to the teacher first thing in the morning. Transportation changes must be made prior to 2:30 p.m.
