Heritage School Newsletter
OCTOBER 2024
A Note from the Principal
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the October edition of our Parent Newsletter! As we move into fall, we have several exciting updates, important dates, and helpful resources to share with you. Get your calendar ready!
First, thank you to everyone who participated in our Parent-Teacher Conferences this week! Your engagement is vital to your child's success, and we appreciate the time you took to meet with our teachers to keep our energy bus rolling in the right direction. Here are some highlights and key takeaways from the conferences:
1. Strong Communication: Many parents expressed appreciation for the open dialogue between home and school. Teachers provided insights into student progress and strategies for continued support at home.
2. Student Progress: Parents received updates on academic achievements and areas for growth. This information is crucial for setting goals for the upcoming term.
3. Support Resources: Teachers shared various resources and tools available for parents to assist their children with work and study skills. We encourage you to utilize these resources for additional support.
4. Building Relationships: These conferences fostered stronger relationships between parents and teachers, which is essential for creating a supportive learning environment. We believe that collaboration is key to student success.
5. Feedback Opportunities: We value your feedback! Several parents shared their thoughts on how we can improve future conferences. We will be considering your suggestions to make the next round even more beneficial.
Thank you once again for your participation. If you were unable to attend the parent teacher conferences on the date scheduled please reach out to your child's teachers with any questions. Your involvement makes a significant difference in our school community. We look forward to continuing our partnership in supporting your child's education.
MAP, Dibels and MCAS results
We are excited to share that the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) assessment reports will be going home this month! These reports will be going home to:
Grade 2 - Math only
Grade 3 and 4 - Math and Reading
MCAS RESULTS: All 4th grade students will receive a copy of their MCAS results from last year in the mail this week.
These reports provide valuable insights into your child's academic progress in reading, math, and language usage. Your involvement makes a significant difference in our school community. We look forward to continuing our partnership in supporting your child's education.
