Firefly Families,
October is one of my favorite months, as it brings a shift in seasons, the cool crispness in the air, and the excitement of the upcoming holidays. It is also a time of reflection and celebration as we approach the end of the first nine weeks of school. Our Fireflies have worked hard and I am incredibly proud of their growth and accomplishments so far.
A heartfelt thank you for the generous donation of delicious items for our Hispanic Heritage Teacher Luncheon! Your contributions made the celebration super special. We appreciate your generosity and partnership.
While October has several days off, we encourage your continued efforts to ensure your Firefly is at school ready to learn on the days we are in session. Every day is an opportunity for growth and discovery and your support in maintaining strong attendance is vital to their success.
Continue to shine brightly as we move forward through this beautiful season!
Filled with Firefly Pride,
Carla

FE Cultural Display
📅 Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉
🌎 What is Hispanic Heritage Month? Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15) is a special time to recognize and celebrate the cultures, contributions, and history of Hispanic and Latinx people around the world. From art and music to science and politics, Hispanic communities have made a huge impact globally—and we’re excited to honor this rich cultural heritage right here at our school!
💡 Why Are We Celebrating? At Alyssa Ferguson Elementary School, we believe in the importance of diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness. Hispanic Heritage Month gives us the opportunity to educate students about the many contributions of Hispanic and Latinx people while fostering appreciation and respect for the diverse world we live in. It's about learning, celebrating, and understanding!
Come visit the display, created by our Educational Enrichment Team, in the main hallway and join us in celebrating the beauty and diversity of Hispanic culture! 🎉

Congratulations to Mrs. Scott's class they will receive their pizza Thursday 10/3.
