Arrival & Dismissal
Arrival:
On Monday, August 19th students K -6 who arrive before 7:58 will be directed to go to walking club. Walking club is on the back part of our playground and is supervised by two certified staff members. Students can enter the building at 8:00.
Kindergarten Parents: We graciously ask that you allow your students to come in by themselves starting Monday. Staff members are in the hallways to help if students become unsure where to go. We want to foster independence in our students. As they start to come in independently they start the day feeling confident and successful! Thank you!
Dismissal:
If you need to pick up your child(ren) earlier than 3:05 please make sure you call the front office by 2:30. Dismissal is a busy time, we want to know where all of our students are and that they are accounted for.
Parents always need to come up and sign out at the front office with Ms. Evert if students are leaving early. We cannot allow students to walk out our doors before 3:05 without being signed out by a parent. Thank you for your support as we focus on safety for our students.
What is the Policy on Animals on School Grounds?
We wanted to make you aware that animals are not allowed in school district buildings or on school district property unless you have permission from the superintendent or a designee. This is a board policy for PLCS schools. We understand that it is nice outside, but please refrain from bringing your pets with you for arrival and dismissal so we keep our students safe.

Lunch Visitors
We'd love for you to have lunch with your student & you will have the option to do so beginning after Labor Day. This year we are utilizing a Sign-Up Genius. (Link is below). Each school day there are eight total slots for lunch visitors. If there is more than one visitor in your group, each visitor must be signed up for a slot. Slots are listed as 11:40am - 1:10pm, but please come during your children's lunch time. Visitors may bring lunch or purchase lunch at school (if you want to purchase lunch at school, it must be called in to the front office no later than 8:45am). If you are purchasing school lunch, please bring exact change, $4.80. If you have any questions, please call Carrie Evert at 402-898-0425.
