SUMMER EDITION | JUNE 2024
SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE
I appreciate each one of you who is taking the time to learn about the great things happening in Center Grove Schools. This year, we graduated 667 seniors. Their successes are shared by many dedicated faculty and staff members who want the very best for our students. They do whatever it takes to help students accomplish their goals. This week, we honored our 2024 retirees who combined have served our district for more than 250 years. While it’s always difficult to lose that experience, I am so excited by those who are next in line to fill their shoes. Next month, I will have an update on several leadership changes in our district that will take effect on July 1.
As many of you may know, our school community suffered a tremendous loss earlier this month when long-time educator and school board member Gary Robinson passed away. Mr. Robinson was such a powerful advocate for our students and community and a great supporter of public education. I appreciated his friendship, support, wisdom, and positive outlook. He was truly a Center Grove icon. We will truly miss him and his support of our mission to serve the students in our community by striving to provide them with an exceptional education.
I hope our teachers, staff, administrators, and community members can take time to relax, enjoy their families, and have a safe summer break.
Sincerely,
William K. Long, Ed.D.
Superintendent
In memory of Gary Robinson

His family has set up a scholarship fund in his name through the Center Grove Education Foundation at this link.
