Dear Hayshire Families,
For the month of May, our special teachers and specialists had the honor of selecting Hayshire Students of the Month. Congratulations to Andrea Westry from Second Grade and Bulensky Forvil from Third Grade for receiving this recognition. Both children demonstrate values such as perseverance, character, community, and excellence! Andrea and Bulensky were recognized at Monday evening's school board meeting.
Our May Day was a huge success! A big thank you to our PTO and everyone who helped make our May Day celebration such a memorable and joyful event. From the festive activities to the incredible community spirit, it was a day full of laugher, connection, and good times!
On Wednesday, May 28, our PTO is sponsoring a Field Day! Each grade level will have an assigned time of day. We are looking for volunteers to help assist with the different game stations. You must have your volunteer clearances. If you would like to volunteer your time, please click on this link.
Safety is of the utmost importance at Hayshire. We practice being safe in a variety of ways. Every month, we have a fire drill. Earlier this year, we had a weather drill and an intruder drill. Next week, we will have our second intruder drill of the year. This drill will also allow our teachers and students an opportunity to practice creating a barrier in the classroom. These drills are designed to help everyone understand and practice the necessary procedures to ensure safety. If you have any questions, you are welcome to reach out.
Friday, May 16 is an early dismissal. Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:30 PM.
Have a great weekend!
