April Progress Update
Welcome to the fifth rectory construction newsletter! These newsletters will come every few weeks as construction progresses to give a snapshot of what's happened and what's to come.
This month began with some "hardhat" tours of the new rectory. St. Mary School students and rectory sponsors had a chance to tour the layout and get a "behind-the-walls" view of the space before insulation and drywall covered over the pipes and wires.
After the mechanical inspections passed, the insulation and drywall were installed inside. Now that you can't "see through walls", the interior of the rectory has a much better feel for the size of the room's space. The dry wallers will continue their work the next few weeks to prepare for the finishings for each room.
The last two weeks of April also saw the siding installed on the exterior of the rectory. While the rectory is starting to look "complete" in many ways, we are still just over a halfway point as each room is finished in the coming months.
In this edition, check out the video of our school students on tour, as well as a photo of a 2nd and 3rd grade group project to "design" the interior of one of the suites. We have some very creative students! The group projects are on display in the church gathering space
