Bulldog Bulletin
November 2024 Edition
Principal's Message
Hello, Bulldog Families!
As we enter November, our staff are working at preparing progress reports. These are the first of the three formal reports this year. They are to give you a snapshot of the learning that has taken place so far this year. Hard copies of these will be sent home with each student on November 20th, and will also be able to be accessed through Edsby. When reviewing these reports, you will see levels provided to give you an understanding of how your child is progressing. These do not correspond with a specific letter grade. They are determined based on where each learner is at at this time as they hone their skills.
Educators will connect with families to coordinate meetings for those who would like to further discuss their student's progress. The progress reports will serve as a fantastic entry-point into these conversations, enabling educators to provide greater detail and next steps to further each student's development in the months ahead.
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions, comments or concerns.
Sincerely,
Jason
Volunteer Police Checks
We are always happy to welcome volunteers into our school to assist with class trips and in-school activities. In order to volunteer, we need to have your up-to-date Vulnerable Sector check on file in the office. If you wish to have this completed, please contact the office, and we can provide you with a letter to submit for the free police check, now done online!
Arrival Times
We would like to remind all parents of our morning yard supervision limitations. We are able to provide supervision for students arriving on their bus from 8:20 until the bell at 9:00. Students who arrive by walking/car/bike are not provided supervision until 8:45. Please do not arrive at the gate before 8:45 a.m. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation going forward.
Pasta Lunches
On Wednesday, November 27th, we will have our School Council providing a pasta lunch for all students. This will happen throughout the year, payment is through School Cash Online.
If you wish to volunteer for this, please contact the office.
School Cash Online
School Cash Online is our preferred method of payment for all school events and fundraisers. It eliminates extra work for the teachers and administration, as well as allows parents to track the purchases they’ve made. If you are not yet using School Cash Online we encourage you to get connected at kprdsb.schoolcashonline.com.
