RES Weekly Buzz
RES was bustling with activity this week! Our high school friends, Fiona Zhang and Ken Park, spent time in 3rd and 5th grade this week. They presented a “Classroom Market Day” in grade 3, where students learned about earning and saving money. Grade 5 had an “Entrepreneur Day” focused on creating and selling items. Fiona and Ken have worked with many classrooms, bringing our students terrific learning experiences.
Gloucester Maritime visited our 4th-grade students this week and focused on how changes in a habitat can affect resource availability and the populations of species that live there. They even brought in some live mummichogs (a small species of fish found mainly in salt marshes),for the kids to see! We are grateful for our partnership with Gloucester Maritime again with grades 3, 4, and 5 this year. We ended our week with a great Community Meeting led by some 5th-grade leaders and our 3rd-grade classes. Our 3rd-grade students sang an excellent song to honor the splendor and beauty of Cape Ann. They were fabulous! And many thanks to our RES jugglers, who gave us a fantastic performance!
Have a terrific weekend, and enjoy your holiday next week. The next Weekly Buzz will be sent on Friday, December 6th.

We are profoundly grateful for the continued support of the Brace Cove foundation. This is a wonderful opportunity. We encourage everyone to take advantage of it!
