Grace N. Rogers Elementary School kicked off its One School One Author series. Mrs. Emmerson and Mr. Swist kicked off this experience by reading Polar Bear by Candace Fleming to reach grade level. In class, students will explore a variety of Candace Fleming's books and celebrate literacy and her works.
Thank you to Rutgers University for welcoming the Melvin H. Kreps Middle School girls basketball team to their game!
Students in Mr. Heaney’s AP Government and Politics class had the opportunity to meet Senator Cory Booker over Zoom. As their elected Senator it was a great experience for students to interact with Senator Booker about his day to day role in Congress, what made him run for office, and the impact it has on his life. This led to the students making valuable connections to the content they learn in the course. The Senator was wonderful with the students and took time getting to know them just as much as they were learning from him.
From compelling workshops to competitions, our members had a great time meeting other NJ Thespians and expressing their love for theater.
