THINK TEAM
September 13, 2024
A message from me...
Good afternoon!
It’s been a busy yet exciting week! Today, we wrapped up our Homecoming celebrations with an energetic pep rally, organized by our student section leaders. Their efforts showcased incredible school spirit. The fun continues over the next 36 hours with our parade, football game, and dance.
We're committed to providing a fun and safe experience for all our students. I’ve been encouraging them to make wise decisions and prioritize their safety and that of their friends. Some may encounter situations that feel uncomfortable, and they'll need to choose how to respond. Having a conversation with your student about expectations beforehand is a loving and important way to support positive choices.
Looking forward to an amazing weekend and seeing everyone on Saturday!
Mike

Why Teens Take Risks and How We Can Help Keep Them Safe
Last year our community faced several tragic events involving teens. It’s crucial for parents and community members to understand why teens take impulsive risks and how to intervene. Local officials and organizations will also be on hand to share information about available resources and services. Space is limited, so reserve your seat here.

Media Center Opt Outs
As part of the annual back to school update, parents were asked if they would like to receive an email notification of their student’s book checkout. If you opted in to receiving email notifications for your student’s book checkout, the ability for him/her to independently check out a book will not be an option. A media specialist or library aide will need to check out the books allowing them to send an email receipt.
If you no longer wish to receive these notifications, please complete this form. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact our school media specialist or building administrator.
2023-2024 Yearbooks
The 2023-2024 Yearbooks have been delivered to DJHS. If you chose to have your yearbook delivered to your home, you may have already received it. Our Yearbook classes are currently going through the 3 pallets of yearbooks, taking inventory and organizing delivery. Due to the large volume of books it does take some time to distribute. We appreciate your patience.

As a reminder this is a student driven product and there could be a mistake or typo. We make every effort to limit but they do happen each year. Thank you for your understanding.
