If you have an old bat or golf club laying around that is no longer used and you are willing to part with it, please note that we are looking for a few donations. Please let Amy Senethavilay know if you are willing to donate and we can arrange pick up or drop off. Student who ride the bus cannot bring those items, but those walking or dropped off can deliver them straight to the office.

If you are entering the building, you are required to wear a mask. Forgot one? We have a mask for you. Please just ask when you ring the doorbell for entrance.

If you are not comfortable with that, please call the front office and a member of the staff can meet you outside.

Earlier I stated that if you were distanced from others, you were not required to wear a mask while outside. We are experiencing a LARGE number of people who are not using care or distancing while meeting on campus and those who are walking through class lines or past our students and staff without mask. Therefore, I must ask that if you are walking through groups or crossing any of the paths of our staff and students, we ask that you place your mask on until you are clear from those who are not a part of your immediate family.

The PVE Staff appreciate you helping to uphold the county mandate.

Parents MUST drop students at the front of the building or at the walking paths to the grounds. If you are on campus or standing and waiting for students to be escorted inside the building during the mornings or for afternoon sessions, you will be asked to move off campus or go to the front office to sign in and get a visitor's sticker

All visitors are required to sign in at the office and obtain a visitor's sticker. This included parents who are visiting the school grounds. However, due to the RED status and the concerns with COVID, there will be no visitors to the classrooms, cafeteria for lunch, or on the playground for recesses. Parents are welcome to come to the office to bring students to school following an appointment to check them in or to check them out early.

If there is a reason for you to be in the building or on the grounds, you will need to check in with the office. The district uses the Raptor System for all visitors. If you have already entered your information into the Raptor System in past years, please feel free to scan your Driver's License to receive your visitors pass. If you have not completed this process, you will need to see the front office for support the first time you visit.

Thank you for your help with keeping our students safe.

If you need to change how your child is getting home, please be sure to call and let the office know. Staff WILL NOT change the daily routines unless we have heard from parents. Please be sure to contact the office no later than 3:30 for us to get the information to classrooms. We cannot make changes at 3:50, as students are already transitioning.

*If you know the day before or the morning of the needed change, you can email Judy Davis and your child's teacher to let them know about the change.

Please be sure to call into the office or email Judy Davis at davis.judy@westada.org if your child is out absent. Right now, the automated calls are not going out due to the hybrid model. Your help in making sure records are correct is much appreciated.

If your child has an appointment, please be sure to get a verification form from the provider to allow the school to change the coding for attendance. If your child has a standing appointment weekly/monthly, you can get the letter from the provider for the length of time to share with the office to allow for proper coding.

*Per district policy, an unverified absence will convert to truancy unless verbal communication is received from a parent/guardian within 48 hours (counts against attendance standard).

We have a few positions open at our building and could use the help. If you live close and would like to support the community, this may be for you.

The Pleasant View Elementary PTA is excited to announce this year's Reflections Art Contest. Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence, and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful not only in school, but in life.

The theme for this year is "I Matter Because…" Students may submit one work of art, along with an artist statement that explains how their art work relates to the theme.

All entries are due to the Front Office by Wednesday, Oct. 28th. Please see the attached Entry Form and Rules.
