There are plenty of classes and exploration opportunities you can do right now while you are in high school that will help you discover more about careers in Health Sciences. WISE Intern Applications Due February 5, 2021
The WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) initiative is sponsored by the Medtronic Women's Network and the R&D Council. The vision of WISE is to create an inclusive culture where women scientists and engineers are inspired to join, thrive, and reach their full potential.
The WISE Intern Program is a summer internship focused on reaching students at a critical time in their decision-making process, as they contemplate choosing and sticking with science and engineering majors. The internship provides an opportunity to cultivate high performing STEM interns through coaching, mentoring, and challenging project based assignments. The WISE Intern Program focuses on underrepresented student applicants in the summer before and after their college first year.
TARGET AUDIENCE
18 years of age or older at the start of the internship
A high school graduate entering their first year of university/college OR a rising sophomore who has completed their first year at a college/university
Entering or enrolled in a college/university in a science, technology, engineering degree program
GPA greater than 3.0/4.0
PROGRAM DETAILS
Program location: In/around Minneapolis, MN
Program length: 10-12 weeks
Project based, developmental in nature
Hourly paid internship with no housing stipend
